  1. That's for the UK people to decide. Not me.

  2. Yes and No

  3. YES YES YES YES, YES

  4. Don't take kindly to being dictated to, so my answer is neither YES or NO, but what is a re-public (raspberry)

  5. We don't have a monarchy. We have a CONSTITUTIONAL Monarchy.

    Its an important difference.

Our Monarch has absolutely zero power over the UK and if he or she attempted to change govt policy then they would be removed from office immediately! Its why we fought the Civil wars against them! Our Monarchy is a figure head who rubber stamps all laws passed by our Parliament.

She does have the right to veto but this is a safeguard against the UK from becoming a dictatorship. For instance if the UK govt outlawed an opposition party or passed a motion to invade France she could stop the law from happening. She can't make a new one but it protects us from war mongering Presidents!

Remember... Zimbabwe is a republic with no higher authority than Mugabe.... be careful what you wish for

  6. No, definitely NO

  7. YES

  8. Maybe, he he! Why do you think it should?

  9. No it should not become a republic.

As others have already said, ours is a constitutional monarchy which means that the monarch's power is limited by the representatives of the people, i.e. Parliament.

I would much rather continue with the system as at present because we will always know who we will get next as monarch.

Can you imagine the opportunites for corruption if we were to elect someone to represent our country as our leader.   'Politics' already has a bad name in that regard, why make it worse.

Incidentally, the comments about 'snouts in the trough' brings to mind a method of curbing that.   For every rise in pay and allowances requested by those in public office, let us have a national vote (referendum) on the percentage to be allowed.

  10. Head of state     unelected

    house of lords    unelected

    prime minister    unelected

    of course we should

  11. Yes!

  12. We should have the royal family out sweeping the streets along with all the toffee nosed, silver spoon born, horse faced, inbred, socialite, parasite, scumbags.

Free Egalitarian Society does not  require the upper class to look down upon the rest and dictate what class is.

No person living in a palace whilst others struggle and starve has a shred of class.

Let them get jobs and live as "cellebs" if they must but ordinary folk shouldn't have to pay for their lavish lifestyles. Let them get sponsored by coke or something.

  13. I'm Canadian, and would very much like to see Canada abolish the monarchy and become a republic.

If we are a democratic society where everyone has equal rights, then to have a head of state who inherits a position of privilege is contrary to those ideals.

I think it's the same in the UK. Yes, you have many years of tradition. But is it right to have an unelected monarch with wealth and power, and a privileged aristocracy, in a world striving towards liberty, equal rights, and democracy?

  14. NO!!!!

  15. Yes of course we should.

  16. NOPE

  17. Yes and No, then.

  18. NO

  19. Nah,  Nope. :PPPP

  20. It has been since President Blair took over.

  21. hat's for the UK people to decide not nosy people on yahoo

  22. What difference would it make ?

Even if we became a republic, the Royal Family would still exist and apart from a few oaths, there would be little difference - so my question to the YES voters is 'What difference would it make?'

  23. I think the U.K. should break up completely.

  24. It's quite possible, as it looks like the Queen and Royalty have had their day, she has thrown her hand in with the NWO and agrees with the EU to take over, so if enough people wake-up in time, we may be able to save our country and make of it what WE want.
