Should the UK national anthem be changed to rule Britannia?

Some in Britian don't believe in the royal family as much any more. Although I think most people would rather see the queen than the prime minister. Recently someone said should we be like the US and school children sing the national anthem and swear alligents to something. Do you think people would take it more seriously if the national anthem was about the country rather than the queen. To give you a taste these are the lyrics:

When Britain first at Heav'n's command

Arose from out the azure main;

Arose, arose from out the azure main;

This was the charter, the charter of the land,

And guardian angels sang this strain:

Rule, Britannia! Britannia, rule the waves!

  3. that's an "old empire" song that projects a very "s***w the colonies, we want money" image that britain doesnt really stand for anymore.
