Should the US get involved between Georgia and Russia?

Question

Here is a perfect example of how screwed we are in America. We really have nothing to do with Georgia or Russia. Georgia is begging for the United States to help.

If we help, then we are imposing our beliefs on the world - yada yada yada - and we will once again stick our nose where it does not belong.

If we no do not help, then we will have to watch as Russia conquers Georgia and takes control of their land - I know it was once part of the USSR... I am not sure how much Georgia is to blame - if they are committing genocide then Russia should go in - on the other hand - I am an American and do not get much of the facts.

I personally feel torn. Part of me says stay out... let the rest of the world deal with their own problems. The other part says if we can help then we should and it is out responsibility to do so... regardless of how the rest of the world sees it.

If they take Georgia...they will get ATLANTA....that is one of our best party towns....I don't know much about politics but this sounds bad-bad....we need to do something about this kinda thing....

I'm from the UK, and the US should NOT get involved in this! If they do, the UK will have to most likely, it is going to cause war..and with Russia against us..well...screwed..

We're into enough **** already.  And possibly more on the horizon with Iran.  We CAN'T get involved.  It's not our fight and we should stop trying to be the world's police and take care of the myriad of problems we have at home, on our soil, with our own people.

if US gets involved it would sure be world war III. Russia is a nuclear-weapon state nad so is US. The world wil be soo O_V_E_R

What!?!?!  Russia is invading Atlanta?  I go to school here and haven't heard anything about it. I hope it doesn't effect my class schedule because I have already paid.  Why am I always the last to find out about these things?  I'm going to E-mail my sister Wednesday and find out.

No I dont think so! The U.S. has nothing to do with this. They should not always pop into other countries when there in war. (bad habbit)

NO !!!!!! We have enough on our plate. I believe you should take care of your own back yard before fixing someone Else's. And we have a lot to fix in our back yard.
