Should the US nuke Russia?

Russia is clearly a threat, and may one day try and attack the US- Given this fact, and the fact we know they have WMD, shouldn't we just nuke Russia before they decide to nuke us?

  1. Russia will distroy its self

  2. Oh that's smart when russia's got the same if not more & some is possible in cuba so what you propose is suicide to the world..war yeah great idea...heck we got more threat from israel then russia...they're taking our money, weapons for them to shoot at us one day...then if we americans ask they tell us s***w u...

  3. No. That would be the end of America. Like the United States, Russia has massive amounts of nuclear weapons. We don't even know where all of their weapons are stored. If we nuked them, they would retaliate by nuking us.

Furthermore, the use of nuclear weapons on a populated area (such as a city) would result in millions of civilian lives being lost. It would be a very cruel, and stupid thing to do.

    Is this a serious question?

  4. Why is it,that whenever there is a dispute between the US & another country,no matter how minor, there is always a stupid fooking yank wanting to nuke them?Which-ever side Jesus is on,he won't be getting nuked, but the rest of us will.Do you understand what retaliation means?

  5. What about UK, France, Israel, Pakistan and the other nuclear countries? The future is unknown. Why not nuke them too to be on the safe side?

  6. Absolutely not. Aren't we trying to make peace between Georgia and Russia? What would it say about us if we were like you guys shouldn't fight and stuff like that and then we go and bomb Russia. That would make us look like hypocrites.

  7. You, sir, are an idiot.

  8. you play too much video games huh?

i think someone should nuke you in your bedroom

  9. Well, one thing I've heard is that there is some sort of 'waiting list' where the US is at the front of the line, and apparently no one else is supposed to use them. I am not sure if this is true or not, but either way, I do not thing we should Nuke them, at least at the time. I read a quote, said by the Red Dragon in Jeff Smith's "Bone", "Never play an Ace when a Two will do." Basically, it means not to waste the big guns right away, especially if there is no threat.

As an Avid video gamer I can say, Using a Mauler when a Battle Rifle will work is wasteful.

To conclude, no, we shouldn't nuke Russia at the moment, especially since it wouldn't do as much as we hope it would to such a large icy country.

  10. ... No?

Do the words Global Thermonuclear War mean anything to you?

Surprisingly, missiles actually take time to fly through the air, if the US fire some of their missiles, Russia would know they were headed their way and may be able to disable them before they hit, but either way would be very likely to retaliate in kind... Plus, there was this thing called the Cold War you may have forgotten about; either of the two countries could have tried to fire nuclear missiles at each other, but it just didn't happen because the leaders of the two countries realised there's far too much to lose and nothing to gain.

Basically, if the US do what you propose, you'd be dead i guess.

There are also many many totally innocent people in Russia that you've just decided to kill in an instant, and aside from that, maybe there are people in Russia just like you, sitting there thinking "The US is clearly a threat, one day they may try to attack us, maybe we should nuke them before they nuke us..." Just think about it a bit.

Not everyone in Russia is wanting to kill everyone in the US -.-

EDIT: Okay, now i've seen that edit, you're either stupid or joking...

I'm an Atheist, so i don't believe in Christianity (And therefore Jesus being the son of God) or any other religion. But that said, why does it have to be Jesus protecting you? Why not another prophet from another religion? You don't know your religion is the true one and i can safely say you never will.

More to the point, there are Christians all over the world, including Russia, so why wouldn't Jesus protect them instead, just think about it, please? Also, shouldn't Jesus treat all people the same? Yes. Does it matter that they don't live in the US? No. Does that mean their lives mean less than yours? No. Are they less deserving of protection than you? No.

  11. No, war is never the answer

  12. No we shouldn't.  Does the concept of "M.A.D." mean anything to you?  It stands for Mutually Assured Destruction.  Basically that is what kept both the U.S. and the Soviets from attacking each other with nuclear arms.  Neither wanted to press "The Button" because both new it meant the destruction of all.

One cannot simply destroy all of Russia's nuclear capability without Russia knowing it.  Upon the first sign of aggression from the U.S., Russia will move to strike.  This process of retaliating is done within minutes of a threat.  So, while our bomb or missile is on its way to destroy a launch site, Russia will have already released its reply from that site and now Pandora's box has been opened.

For this reason, the U.S. wants to build a missile defense system in Eastern Europe to defend against "Iranian" missiles.  Please, we all know it can also be used to undermine Russia's nuclear deterrent.
