  1. No. There is a ton of diplomacy conducted there that otherwise might never happen. We only get to see the bad highlights on our wonderful "news" channels, though.

  2. yes

  3. Yes.

  4. The U.N. is a t**d in the cesspool we call earth. It is corrupt, ineffectual, and a waste of time and resources. What country really looks to the U.N. for guidance in their dealings with other countries? What country follows U.N. edicts? We should chase the SOBs out of the country and use the building and the funds we sink into the U.N. for the homeless of New York

  5. No.  In fact we should recognize the gem that we have and the fact that our nation hosts its HQ.  How foolish would it be for us to withdraw...our participation only enhances our credibility & leadership in the world.  Being the host nation only increases our stature among nations.

  6. Yes they should. It is a do nothing  bunch of people.

  7. I don't understand your question.

Do you mean "should the USA withdraw from the UN Security Council"? That would be really stupid on the USA's part, since the US is one of five countries with veto power: it can veto *anything* proposed to the Security Council (military actions, sanctions, etc.), even things that have the votes of all other members of the Security Council. That's a huge amount of power -- power that only the USA, China, France, Russia and the UK have. Why would the USA want to give up that huge amount of power?

Or do you mean "Should the US withdraw from the UN General Assembly"? I don't see why -- it's just a discussion forum. It has no power to do anything.

Or do you mean "Should the US withdraw troops serving under UN mandate"? That would be disastrous to US interests -- both political and financial -- throughout the world.

Do you mean "Should the US not give money to UN agencies, such as UNICEF, WHO, WFP, UNHCR, etc."? It would look arrogant and greedy for the richest nation on Earth to not give to UN agencies who are administering critically-needed aid to various parts of the world. The US already refuses to support UNFPA, and this has resulted in thousands of women all over the world being denied critical health care, such as treatment for Fistula.

  8. The UN is in the US...That'd be interesting to see how it would all work out.

  9. Well let's see how effective the UN has been. It was an approved UN decision on the Jewish homeland be placed in Palestine,,,then there is the splitting of Korea and Viet Nam, into North and South. Then there is Bosnia Serbia, Dar fur, and the killing fields of Cambodia, Yes, I think we should get out and stop paying for their existence.

  10. Yes, and the WTO. We are basically running a charity to help out other countries at our own expense.

  11. The US is the UN.

We provide the building in NY, over 50% of the funding, and the lion share of the troops.

  12. No, the US takes far too much interest in world affairs.

  13. yes

The USA is so pro-war to be in the UN

  14. yep

  15. Yes, we should kick it and all of its delegates out of this country.  It costs us too much in crime that their ambassadors families commit, too much to keep it funded, too much in charity and too much in allowing terrorist some control over our country.  Get rid of it.

  16. With draw then run their butts off US soil.

  17. on what grounds ?

US already places UN on its d**k, no need to even bother withdrawing

  18. Without any further hesitation.  Not only that, but remove them ALL from within US borders and sieze any assets the UN has within the US.

  19. Yea the UN is a joke
