No, the people that live there are very British. They have no connection to Argentina. I doubt that any of them speak Spanish.  Not much of value there worth fighting over.  Windy and cold place.  Hardly a tree to be found.

it's a bit like handing Northern Ireland over to the Irish. the people who live there would be the most affected, and they would have very strong views on the matter.
