  1. nooooooo way jim thome is way better

  2. I don't see that happening any time soon. Kenny and Frank didn't get along that well. Plus who would we release so he could join? It's a nice jester, but not worth it.

  3. No. I liked Frank when he was with us back in the day, but we have no need for him now.

  4. They already have two first basemen/DH's that can't field or run fast.

  5. No Way!! The ChiSox have Jim Thome (1B), Paul Konerko (1B), and Nick Swisher (1B, OF). They can't afford another first baseman in their roster. They play Thome as DH, Swisher as CF, and Konerko in 1B. What are they going to do with Frank if they sign him?? Bench him?? That won't work.

  6. They have Thome and Frank Thomas wouldnt want to play for them at all. He's better off sticking with the A's.

  7. It would be nice but that would be highly doubtful because:

    1. He's on DL so trading him is out of the option.

    2. The Sox do not need a slugging DH. The already have a guy named Jim Thome.

    3. He would be a waste of money because he is worth around 9-10 million. (I would know because I'm a Jays fan and he was a former Jay)

  8. no way...he's getting old now, he's a clubhouse disruption which could cause a spat with a fiery manager like ozzie guillen, and the white sox are already filled at the position with jim thome

  9. You know, I actually would love that idea! He is not a Blue Jay or an Athletic! He is supposed to be a member of the WHite Sox. But there would be some questions.....

    1. Where you Frank THomas be? He wouldn't want to be a bench player anywhere on the team, he would want to start full-time as either first, or the DH, and he would like to be the closer (just joking, he is a good pitcher in Backyard Baseball though!). Konerko will keep the job at first and Thome at DH. Otherwise, there would be a lot of shifting in positions for him to start and one player would be denied that job.

    2. Also, GM Kenny Williams DOES NOT like Frank Thomas! There was a feud between them, and knowing Kenny WIlliams, he will not bring back Frank Thomas! So there might have to be some arguments with him and Reinsdorf for bringing him back.

But it would be amazing to get him to retire with the White Sox. He was a great player! My ALL-TIME FAVORITE MEMBER OF THE CHICAGO WHITE SOX!

HE won a World Series title with them, even when he didn't play. He was always on the bench cheering the team on, and he finally won wit hthe team that he has been with for the majority of his career.

    GO WHITE SOX!

  10. Did the A's release him again after picking him up earlier in the year after the Blue Jays released him?  I didn't hear about that if they did.  I really don't think he'd come back to Chicago anyways.  I don't think he and Ozzie were on good terms together.

  11. I doubt that they will. Remember they have Jim Thome as a DH, and remember that when at the end of his carrier, and even still to this day that Frank Thomas is a DH, even through I bet that he could still play 1st base. But that would be like the Chicago Cubs re-signing Sammy Sosa, in which at the end, both players had troubles with thier teams, that lead them being shown the door. And remember when Frank Thomas had left the White Sox, in his first year not in a Chicago White Sox uniform, there was a feud going on between him, and Kenny Williams, that lead Williams to call Thomas an idiot. Since then, I am guessing that they cooled it all down, since you don't hear that anymore, but I would have to doubt that even if they do get along again, that Williams will sign Frank Thomas if the A's relase him. I have found one article that backsup what I had said before, about the fued between them, and I thought there was more, but this is the only one that I could find, and yes I realize that this was 2 and a half years ago, but the White Sox might be better off without him. But maybe if Thomas does go in the Hall of Fame, he might go in as a member of the Chicago White Sox.
