  1. if it means sacrificing more than 2 prospects, then no

the yanks have surrendered enough of their farm system to the rest of the league that they cannot really afford to give up anymore young guys, especially pitchers!!

unless a team is willing to take igawa off our hands, then i would gladly take any trade offer

  2. Jarod He has a way better chance with them

  3. Washburn. A lefty in this and the new Yankee Stadium is something to be desired. He's been much better the last two months and Burnett has an opt out clause in his contract at the end of this season. You'd probably be able to get Washburn for less than you would Burnett ...plus, would Riccardi trade in his own division?

  4. I think for the Yankees to beat the Red Sox they defiantly need pitching. But they will have to probably cut ties with their young players like Cano and Cabrea.

  5. A.J Burnett.

1.) He KILLS the Yankees, every single time he pitches against them he shuts them down. Get him out of the division on to their bench.

2.) Playoff experience. He was on the Marlins team that beat the Yankees in the 2003 World Series.

3.) He is a shut down type of pitcher. Granted his numbers are not that great this year, but when he is on, his stuff is better than Doc Halladay. His fastball is explosive and his breaking ball dives into the dirt.

Washburn is steadily average, shoot for the moon with Burnett.
