  1. They'd have to make up about seven games on the Red Sox just to get back into the Wild-card, and they're DEFINITELY not going to make up the ten games they'll need to top the Rays.

They're hurt, they're old and Brian Cashman has not done his job.  A-Rod still can't hit with runners in scoring position.  They're DONE.

  2. No. And nobody cares about the Yankees outside of New York.

  3. i really don't think they're still in it. All the top teams are looking solid and there is just no way that the yankees can get in the running. It's gonna be a great last year of yankee stadium for us sox fans.

  4. they did already win but no

  5. too little...too late....

  6. Definitely not there still 6 games out

  7. No, they need to go on a 6-8 game wining streak and Boston needs to have 3-4 loses for the Yankees to get back in the race!

  8. there is almost no chance for them to make the post season. The rays have all but locked it. The Red Sox are still in it but they may have to fight for it too. Plus the Yankees still have a series in Tampa bay and the Rays are one of the best teams in the majors at home. Everybody is still waiting for them to fall but its not happening. With Longoria coming back next week. They will only be stronger vs the Yankees. The Yankees Big players are not stepping up when the team is hurt, and if they cant do that there is almost no chance for them.

  9. Since all the Yankee fans (before the series) were saying this was a 'must sweep' and that didn't occur, I'd say no, they aren't in it.  They still lost 2 of 3 and lost a game in the standings.

In fact, this was the only game some were predicting a hard time with.  Some chap even predicted the Yankees winning all 3 by a margin of 15 runs per game.

He was high on drugs of course

  10. yes.

  11. Until the Yankees are mathematically eliminated,  they still have a shot but it will be hard to do.

  12. NO Way they dont have the pitching to make it to the playoffs

  13. yes, Sidney Ponson's ace pitching skills will lead the way.

  14. absolutely not
