  1. Maybe we shouldn't even have a "legal" drinking age. Anyone who really wants to drink will find ways to drink, and people who doesn't like drinking won't drink even if they are over 19.

The issue important to consider would be entries to bars, clubs and other "19+" events. Perhaps they should be changed to 18+

  2. Seeing as 18 year olds can be sent to war or join the army (where they COULD die) I find it strange that they can't drink. I'm 20 so I don't really have that long to wait. But still, it's kinda ridiculous to me.

  3. I dont think just because you are old enough to go to war means you are responsible enough to drink.  there are alot of people that are old enough to go to war, but they dont.  Same as there are alot of 21 year olds that dont drink.  I do feel that if you are in the military you should be able to drink if PROVEN to be responsible.  I think that people should have to have a license to drink regardless of age.  The old "I'm old enough to die for my country, I should be able to drink" argument is played out.  It started during the draft times, so there was a point to it then.  Now you got every spoiled kid with no intentions of joining the military using it as a point to validate there alcohal abuse.  18 year olds should be worrying about what college they can get into, or more importanly the best way to get there and less about their "should be 'rights'" in regards to drinking.  Did I drink before I was 18? you bet! did I drink before I was 15? I am ashamed to say yes.  If I would have worried less about partying and being cool I might have had a chance to get a scholarship and go to a good college.  In the end I just joined the Army and started a family, and I am doing fine.  I now have money for college when I get out, but you better believe that I am earning every penny of it.

  4. I'm with Jimmy on this one.  I think it should be raised to at least 25 if not 30.

  5. Yes!

  6. i think it should be 18

  7. well i think it should stay the age it is cause when your older your more responsible

    but that's just my opinion, i'm only 14 :D

    what do i know haha

  8. The drinking age should be lowered and teens should learn how to drink responsibly from their parents. Teens should not think that it is ok to go out and get wasted every weekend. I think if drinking were normalized instead of romanticized, there would be less problem drinking among teens.

But don't get your hopes up about that changing before you hit 21!

    (My age: 24)

  9. I personally think so. Whatever age we are going to drink. Does it really matter?

  10. 18 or even eliminated. It is pretty dumb to have it at all.

  11. I think it should be raised to 25.

  12. move to australia

    its 18 here

  13. i think it should be lowered to 18 because hey, if you're old enough to go fight in a war you should be allowed to drink a beer if you want one. also in almost every other country you're allowed to drink before you even turn 18.  when i was 17 i went on a class trip to france and spain and the first night i was there i got a half gallon of absolute and a half gallon of absinthe (which isn't even legal in the states).

  14. It's 18 where im from (ireland)
