Should the cheerleaders be banned from IPL?

Shahid Afridi thinks they are distracting the batsmen (He made 2 runs in this first match).

Maharastra politicians think they are degrading womanhood (apparently item songs in bollywood movies don't and they can be watched with your family members repeatedly)

1 spectator in the 1st match had a banner reading "I came to watch the cheerleaders"

no yaar ,shahid is distracted ,he maybe could have never seen such open ness in paksitan ,we all know how muslims are ,they are not strippers ,thet are cheerleaders and thats like a sport

i also have a friend from us ,she is also a cheerleader and she is from a very good family

Yes, if the presence of cheerleaders means that people get tickets just to watch them and actual cricket fans miss out, then they must go.

Those politicians are probably the same conservative ones who condone bashing up North Indians. They all need to get a life. If the cheerleaders are so distracting to some players, perhaps they should consider being pimps... Afridi looks like one anyway. ;-)

No They Should not be Baned, they are there to Entertain the Crowd. and Please some of the Bollywood movie songs have  far more Nudity than that which we watch on regular basics with our families.

And Afridi needs to pay attention on the Bowler when batting not the Cheerleaders!!

it should not destract a good player if its talking about the movment then they dance on a four 6 or wicket after the ball has been struck then y the fuss?

I don't think they should but if they distract shahid afridi then they should be banned. i think afridi made that excuse for making 2 runs
