  1. no

    one must ask

what would the answers be if your question had began with:

"should the american who kicked....." and so on and so on.

  2. It depends on what the kick was. If it was really bad that caused bodily harm, he should be put up on charges.

If it was a kick that just caught the referees attention for a few minutes but no injury, then he should still be dealt accordingly - but with the Olympic sports committee.

But I will agree for sure that he shouldn't be allowed to play in the Olympics ever again. Those kinds of behaviour cannot be tolerated.

    Hope that answers.

  3. The Cuban fighter does deserve to be banned from the sport, and I hope he has already been expelled from the Olympic Village. The Olympic Games are one of the few high-profile events left where sportsmanship and honor are still an expectation. Being an Olympian does not only require being a good athlete; it requires living up to a high standard of conduct.

Matos is clearly undeserving of the title "Olympic athlete".

  4. first the rule is c**p they should just take 1 point for time violation, not award the match to the looser.

He should only be banned from Olympic games and not International competitions. For the assault he should serve a 2 year ban in international events.

You try holding your self when your winning the match by 3-1 and your feet gets injured but you need time to patch things up and because he didn't get up in time the loosing opponent get rewarded with the match. Now does that sound fair I would be pissed. The rule is wrong they should of had time violation and deducted a point instead of giving the match to the other opponent.

Sorry for writing so long I just get pissed at referees and judges at these events because they are amateurs I watched boxing and taekwondo and there were so many points not awarded to the right athletes.

  5. For sure!

  6. no he did everyone a favour and bashed the c**p out of the ref! no one likes refs!

  7. Note to Rare: Do you even know anything about the question that was asked or did you simply decide it was time for more American bashing and choose to do it here? America had nothing to do with anything that happened in this match. What a total moron. Your parents must be proud.

  8. He competed and should have known the rules, which apply to everybody.  Taking time albeit to recover from injury gives a distinct advantage, like catching their breath, and so on.  And it takes away the advantage from the opponent who inflicted the injury in the first place to close out the match with a TKO.

Kicking the referee squarely in the FACE is assault, and he should be charged with assault, and be given a taste of Chinese labor camp.

After he's released, he then should be deported back to Cuba and be banned from participating in any sport, as it's proven that he is a sore loser.

    Edit:

After watching the video, contrary to some news report, it was not that he kicked the referee after a heated argument, but simply lashed out at him after he raised his hand to declare the match is over.  Not saying that kicking someone after heated arguments is better, but it's understandable.  But lashing out against referee for doing his job, is like a wild dog attacking passersby at will.  With dogs, they are usually terminated.  But with this guy, perhaps execution is slightly too much, but lifetime ban is absolutely warranted.

  9. yeah d**n straight he should. What an absolute dip sh*t. His actions go totally against what his sport and the olympics stand for.

What a moron. I hope the ref sues him for assault too....

  10. he was banned was life & his coach

  11. he should be banned for life

  12. Of course he should be banned. You have to make punishments hurt so that people will think three times before they do something like this. Minor league baseball should do the same and Pee wee football. People are so crazy these days when they don't get their way.

  13. You would think. If he would have kicked a man in the face on the street, he could be arrested for unprovoked battery and assault.

  14. He is and he should be in prison.
