Question:

Should the dial-up modem be removed?

i have my PC get DSL connection, but before that we are using Dial-up modem. Someone said that it slows down the hi-speed internet .

Should I have it removed? or if not necessary, is there anything I should do so that it won't interfere in any way with my high-speed connection? like uninstalling or whatever....

please help...thanks!

  1. There's no need to remove it.  It doesn't affect the DSL in any way.  

    It's actually better to leave it in.  You don't want to leave an empty, uncovered slot in the back of your PC because dust will get inside that way.


  2. Keep it, incase you get poor and have to switch back to dial up. i like dial up better any way. SO, when no one talks to me on the phone, i can listen to the static.
