  1. Yes and the legal limit should be set back to a more rational 1.0.  Good luck getting that past conservative special interest groups who think no one should be able to buy alcohol and MADD.

These are people who still demand that the so-called "Blue laws" still be enforced.

  2. Its 18 in Europe , but  you can also die in a war at 18 - wait - 21 is classed as an adult is the USA - get you send  18 year olds over to war - so in the eyes of the USA  they are still children - that is not right

  3. I think at 18 you can drink under the supervision of an adult who caries the responsibility.

  4. An 18 year old should not die in war and should not drink.

A 48 year old should not die in war and should not drink.

  5. I'm really on the fence on this one.  I do agree if we can send you off to war then you should be able to drink but at the same time the longer we keep kids from drinking the better it will be for them..

  6. i have little friends who drink at age 13

  7. The drinking age should be raised to 30 and that should also be the minimum age to serve in the military.Anyone under 30 is really still a teenager and as such is mostly irresponsible in behavior.Whatever the legal drinking age, violations of the law due to drinking and intoxication should be dealt with severely.Alcohol is potentially lethal and is a dangerous substance.Anyone who plays Russian roulette with alcohol and breaks the law needs a long prison term.

  8. I don't care.  I'm 25.

But perhaps.  Thing is the argument isn't as strong because we aren't doing the draft this time around.

    I wouldn't care though.

  9. Yes it should be.

  10. There should be no legal drinking age.  Regulation of drinking by minors should be done within families.

EDIT: I completely agree with Skeptic (though I am forgiving to people who drink responsibly in moderation).  Government should not sending anyone to war (though that doesn't preclude individuals cooperating in defensive war).  Neither should dictate who may drink.  That doesn't mean an advocation for irresponsible drinking.

  11. Yes the age should be 18!  MADD got the political machine to raise it to 21 after pressuring politicians. Special interest get things done maybe the youth should get organized to get the rights they deserve.

I feel if you can die for your country at 18 you should have the right to drink at 18.  Come on three years is just plain stupid to delay drinking.

If people want to drink they will find a way. Criminalizing under age drinking is the problem not the solution.
