I am doing a debate (affirmative side) and wandering about things to say.

If you talk about what the negative side might say and how i could rebut it, there will be a 5 rating and also if you mention what i could say.

Thnx xoxo

  1. no, unless you want to be run over by 15 year olds

  2. NO WAY! There is not affirmative-

(unless you are 15 and dying and it's your last wish and even then, they should have to drive in an empty parking lot or on a farm)

That decision is state regulated- for example, in Texas, there are stricter provisions for getting a permit and then license for persons born after January 1, 2002-

the crash statistics are much higher for teenagers- they should raise the age to 18

  3. What's wrong with the way it is now?

  4. Should driving age be lowered to 15 years?

    I dont think so.

  5. It depends on the emotional maturity of the driver. My daughter has been driving since she was thirteen. She has never had an accident, and has turned out to be an excellent driver. With proper training (driver's ed, driving simulators) and certain restrictions (such as no more than two teenagers in a car), I think it would be perfectly acceptable to lower the driving age. 15 year olds already get driving permits. Prepare to rebut the argument that 15 year olds are not emotionally mature enough to handle the responsibilities of driving. You could point out that most road rage accidents involve older adults, older adults tend to speed and drive recklessly to get to appointments, and the really old adults can't see that welll and lack the reaction time to resond to hazardous situations.
