  3. Only if it's for the good of all citizens...they need to have control without completely controlling people's lives

    the attached story seems over-the-top though...

    While government must maintain a certain level of law and order, it is far too easy for government to become too powerful. Once that happens, we are doomed to living in a totalitarian reign of government control.  -RKO-

  5. To a certain extent that's what it's there for; it makes laws which "tell us what to do".
