I think we can do more by limiting where people can can not drive in heavily traffic areas. Its quite common in Europe. If you are down at the city center. Some of the streets can be closed to foot traffic only. Look at the way Amsterdam is set-up. They have a few main streets, but they way its set-up it encourages people to walk or ride there bikes. In these areas apartments could be built to allow people easy access to the city, and this would cut down on the need for a vehicle . Europe has some great methods in use to help with carbon pollution. What do you think? Now, what do you think if gas ACTUALLY reached $200 like it was said on the news today?

  1. No. One of the main reasons this country is in so much trouble is because of the EPA. Stop worrying so much about the environment and start worrying about the economy. Who cares if the air is clean if you can't afford to live.

  2. Let Europe tell its people what they can and cannot do. Here in the States we have the freedom to do what we d**n well please. Sorry, but I think the government needs to keep its nose out of my business with how I choose to drive and when or where.

  3. It isn't widely communicated, but I read that something like 97% of the worlds carbon dioxide comes from NATURAL sources, like volcanoes, plants etc etc, so NO they need to stick to figuring out ways to extract more tax money from us.

OOPS, I forgot. That's what THIS concern about carbon dioxide is about. Make us feel guilty so we wont mind paying more taxes to solve the "problem"

  4. What you are talking about is tearing down every city in this country and redesigning the way the whole city is layed out.

not gonna happen... nor would I ever want to give up my house and big yard to live in an apartment, just so I could walk.
