  1. No

  2. No, the government should not provide it to citizens that can't afford it. That is not the job of government, especially the federal government.

It is your job to buy your own health care, just like it is your job to buy your own food, shelter, etc. If you can't afford it, there are ways to get it (friends, family, churches, charities, etc.) that don't use tax-payer money.

NOBODY is against helping people without health care. But it is not the job of the government to help, it is your job.

  3. They already do.  The people that get screwed are the ones who make too much money.

  4. No the less the government is involved to better.

  5. The government went one better than that - it mandated that anyone who enters an emergency room for care must be treated - illegal immigrants included - (The Federal Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act) - and it doesn't even fund it. The costs are simply an add on to our medical bill or insurance claim which tries to make up the difference.

  6. No.  Citizens who can't afford health care should:

    a) work for an employer who offers health care

    b) work for an employer who can offer them a position that enables them to make enough money to pay for health care

(this may involve working hard and moving up from an entry-level position)

    c) talk to friends or family to see if they can help

    d) seek private charitable contributions

Government should have a minimal role in our lives.  Welfare programs only lead to more welfare programs, and ultimately train people for failure.
