  1. No.  If something's in high demand, it  ought to

    command a high price when it's in short supply.

    If prices go "too  high" , that's when you can

    get alternatives looking attractive and that would

    get  a more diversified market in whatever it is

    you're talking about.  

    Consumers ought to control prices by being

    risk-takers in trying alternatives to things which

    become higher-priced than they think they

    like  paying. Sometimes sellers should control

    prices in order to suppress alternatives.

    Government should take a flying  "israeli" at a

    rolling do-nut.
