Should the govt outlaw private schools? Are the rich too good to go to schools with our children?

I hope you aren't being serious. But if you are, then you're thought patterns are a bit skewed. Children should be forced into sub-par public education systems because it might hurt someone's feelings that can't afford to do so? Last time I checked, this was a free country and a free market economy. Let's hope it stays that way.

We often hear about how our public schools are failing our society.  In actuality our society is failing our public schools.  We don't need to provide vouchers to parents to send their children to Private Schools.  All you would be accomplishing would be to move the problems from the public schools into the private schools.  Private Schools are better because they don't have to put up with all of the nonsense that public schools do.  It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how to fix our public schools and return them to what they once were in our society.  It does require leaders who have the guts to restore discipline to the public schools, parents who value their child's education and don't believe that their Little Johnny or Little Suzy would NEVER do anything wrong, and students who will take advantage of the education that is being offered to them instead of being allowed to disrupt the learning process for themselves and for everyone else.

Private schools give better educations than most public schools; why should someone who can afford better be forced into the trenches with the huddled masses?

if you are privaliged enough to be able to afford private tuition then you should pay for it!then the taxes earnt should and is put into state run schools
