  2. yes, there is nothing that isn't safe about 75

  3. No it should be set lower. Everyone complains about the cost of gas. Slowing down gives you better mileage. It's fact. Try it yourself. It's also less dangerous.

  4. people are going to drive how fast they want anyway, so i don't think it makes too much of a difference. people get in enough crashes going 65 mph.

  5. Right now there is no 'national limit', as the states are free to determine their own limits.

    This is as it should be, because any powers not specifically granted to the federal government are reserved for the states. The 'double nickel' limit of 55 set during the oil shortages of the 1970s, while well-intentioned, was argued by many to be unconstitutional.
