& is it right for the team management to carry them for so long without performance?

  1. No never .I'd kill the selectors if they are dropped.

Yes,look at dravid he has been in form for 11 years(1996-2007)

he is India's most consistent batsmen.

So what if he is in this rough patch fr less than a year.it happens to all great players.

  2. no we should not drop them .what is youth without experience

  3. nope, they are having stress dysfunction and thats why their mind is not 100% on the field ! humans are adaptable and they will come out of this and you might find them scoring big in the next one

they are still the best of the best!

  4. what a stupid Question....?????????????

  5. no

  6. There is always an up and down in life. When these guys were playing well, they were rested. It will take a while and they will come back.

There is no replacement for them all together in total. They need to be replaced gradually .. spaced out. There has to be some with experience along with the raw and immature lot. IPL saw a lot of fresh players. All waiting in the wings, but no tested Test Player.

The Famous elders will perform given time and matches.

  7. ya

    yes

    sssssssssssssssssssss

  8. ya they should be dropped as their recent performance is not at all up to the mark    what is experince for if it is not used properly     and v have great young players like Rohit Sharma, L Shukla  S badrinath etc

they should atleast be given a chance.

  9. y.. they are f9

  10. yes.

  11. 50-50.

  12. I know that their recent performances were horrible! That are practising the whole in the nets and still they are not performing....."Have the superb seniors lost the charm they used to have?", is really the question of the day.

But still, 1-2 more chances should be given to them! I believe that Sachin still has some cricket left in him but i don't know about dada and rahul. If they fail again to prove themselves then they should be dropped and selectors should select young players instead! Becoz, this "giving chances" is not a joke, the whole team suffers due to some bad performances!

  13. Not everyone yaar. Dravid, Ganguly have let India down. I think every player will go through different phases. Dravid is a great player who has got more than 10,000+ runs. Ganguly is also good. So these players must not be pressurised. They are also a part of the Indian team and they are great. So nobody has right to exclude them out. Sachin, ummm, no need to say abt him. The best player in the world. So we must suppourt them instead of commenting on their performance

  14. 'Oldies' stands for, I believe, Tendulkar, Ganguly & Dravid. Their presence in the lineup is a psychological advantage. The opponents will be worried of dismissing the three, which allows other players to perform. Their team mates will have a challenge at hand to prove their worth. Bad performance in a single series is not a yardstick of a player's form.

You drop Tendulkar, and if the replacement does not work, then the team management is in grave trouble, if not bloodshed. We know what happened when Ganguly was dropped from the team once.

  15. Dravid Yes drop him

    Tendulkar No keep him

Ganguly border line his batting is slipping adds a bit with the ball, medium pacers. But if i had to choose yes drop him.

I guess it's all fine to say drop players but you need to find people to replace.

  16. no we shouldn't drop them .Their performance in the past has shown how capable they are .

  17. No- Not like that they must drop from ODI's -They are experienced players so they must continue in test matches like Anil Kumble.

  18. Irrespective of their lack of form, I strongly feel that Dravid, Tendulkar, Ganguly and Laxman should not be dropped simultaneously all of a sudden, but should be dropped gradually.  Instead of dropping all the four at the same time one by one should be dropped gradually.

  19. Ya but who is going to come in, I'd rather see Dravid, Tendulkar, and Ganguly, than the likes of Yuvraj Singh, and others.

I really want to see superb players in first-class such as Badrinath come in and make a difference.
