Should the people bow down to the king or the king bow down to the people?

this question is based on my theory that a leader is chosen to serve and not to be served

a king does not bow to ppl of lower rank. he may bow to other kings or religious figures.

In this context bow to that leader is not a bad thing its showing respect and appreciation and on the other hand we must not put nobody before God and in that tune its idolatry. But bow to a person is not a big deal to me its like saying hey we like you around here or something like that. And yes a leader is to serve and well too.
