Should the pharmaceutical patenting system be liberalised?

In favor of the drug companies - yes - because we have the best discovery research in the world.

In favor of the consumer price - no - because we need and want to see cures to cancer, aids, etc. in our lifetimes, and destroying the profit motive of drug companies will not allow us to speed toward that end. Preserve the best healthcare system in the U.S. by supporting independent research.
