Should the population of the Human Race be Increased or Decreased?

Why or why not? Please describe.

Thank you. This isn't a homework question, I just want to prove a point.

It needs to be decreased. There are too many people already who live in areas of the world that cannot sustain them. We need to realize that there needs to be a balance between promoting our own needs, while maintaining the quality and beauty of the natural environments we depend on for survival.

Good question, but how in the world would you decrease the human race. The only way you could decrease the human race is by a war.  And that is not good.   God puts us here and when He is ready, He will take us out.  That is it, plain and simple.  We cannot change things.

How would the population be decreased or increased?

I'm all for more "increasing" in my own life, but I don't think a quick decrease in population would be very uh, humane.  Population control measures, but let's not think about eugenics, are effective, as was the black plague.

Decreased because:

more people = less room

more people = more pollution

more people = less jobs available

more people = money is a little less worthless

more people = demand for clothes etc is higher

and many more bad reasons >:(

The human population should be left to do what it will. We are not in any position to worry about such things. (you and I) There are scientists and politicians who will take matters into there own hands on this issue. You and I just have to sit back and try not to get brainwashed in the waves of propaganda and scare tactics.

Is polution a problem. Yes

Is over crownding a problem Yes

Is getting the resourses to the needs a problem Yes

Is over population a problem, No

Our problem is that we have moved from the paradise that God has provided and turned our back on Him. Now we are trying to create our own paradise. Almost everything that man creates will only lead more death and misery. Most ways of living and goals of society will do the same.  In this fleeting world system, is over population a problem. I guess.

One thing to remember is that you can take the whole world population and fit them into a 15 by 15 mile square. Thats giving everyone only one square foot and only one story. Now what if we made that 10 times bigger. 150 by 150 miles. That would give 10 feet by 10 feet or 100 sq feet. now what if we added 10 stories to that would give 100 by 100 feet or 10,000 sq ft. That's a lot of room to move around for only taking up one little piece of land 150 miles by 150 miles. Subtracting out for walls and plumbing of course.

I realize that this little analogy doesnt mean much in the real world but to put things bluntly.  The "powers that be" or as I like to call it , satan and pretty much this whole world, will take care of the population problem itself. As far as the individual you and I are conserned, we need to seek God's forgiveness through Jesus Christ and leave the rest of this world to its own death and destruction.

How would you go about decreasing the population?

Health professionals try to improve a person's health, therefore giving a longer life span.  This would ultimately result in an increase in population.  Now for a country such as China, where it is overpopulated and the gov't dictates to only have 2 children per household is an effective way to maintain population without having to resort to "inhumane" methods.  This would stabilize and decrease the overly populated count in china, which would benefit the entire country.  So my answer is to decrease human population, BUT with humane methods.
