The Antartic is such a pristine habitat. But, it is huge. It is the only world that isn't controlled by politics. Although, I'm sure there is a danger in letting science make economic decisions. I really don't think that taking oil from the Antartic would be a good idea. Although, we are really in a despiration for oil right now. What do you think? Should the Antartic be left alone, or should we tap its resources? I'm interested in others opinions.

  1. NO

  2. It's basically a wasteland so why not go ahead and strip it of its resources

  3. well... here's the big issue... who gets it?

no one really owns it... so who gets to decide who gets to drill there?

this is how many wars have started... and fighting in Antartica would BE HORRIBLE...

we may be facing a similar situation with Russia trying to call the arctic also...

while I'm all about preserving nature... the big issue is how would you decide who gets the rights... without making everyone else mad...
