Should the sox have tried to get mclouth instead of bay

Im sure the Pirates didn't want to let McLouth go.  He's probably under a pretty cheap contract because he is young.  Bay is probably at the end of his contract and is due for a big raise which the Pirates won't pay and why they are the Pirates.  Other teams call this rebuilding, but the Pirates call it standard operating proceedure.

Boston is designed for a Right Handed hitter to hit off the Green Monster. McLouth is a left handed bat just tapping into his talent. He would have commanded a lot more for his services.

Prince Albert, that's 2 questions in less then 5 minutes you've answered wrong, and both were fairly simple question.  McLouth plays center field not right field, and I don't know how you don't know there's no salary cap in baseball.

The Pirates wouldn't give up McLouth.  He's young and still relatively inexpensive.  Not to mention Boston would have to give up more to get him.
