Should the surviving members of the band The Who be arrested for crimes against humanity?

It is very trendy in the "world community" to make words and speech criminal, like Brigitte Bardot being charged for expressing her thoughts about Muslims. With this in mind, shouldn't Pete Townsend and Roger Daltrey be arrested? The Who had a hit song called Pinball Wizard, which referred to a "deaf, dumb and blind kid" who could play a mean pinball. Clearly this violates and offends members of the world community and I think they should be arrested and be sentenced to life with hard labor if convicted. Do you agree?

  1. yes!yes I agree! lets go over to their house right away!

  2. Indeed!  They should be forced to give free concerts!!!

  3. I think, since deaf, dumb and blind people have no way of hearing, seeing or otherwise knowing about the song that no one should be offended by it.

  4. No, I don't think referring to a person as deaf, dumb, and blind is a crime. The incident you speak of occurred in France, not in the "world community". Feel free to petition the government of France to charge The Who, but I don't think you have a case. The things Bardot says are a good bit more offensive than Tommy. I am an American and I believe in free speech, so I disagree with France's legal action.

Link to article about Bardot's new book and the controversy, since the asker hasn't figured out copy & paste yet.

Yeah!!! two thumbs down for posting a link to the story. Neocons hate facts.

  5. But they can't hear, see, or talk, so how could they be offended? In fact, these handicaps have people waiting on them hand and foot. Bunch of freeloaders they are. It's about time someone gave them a piece of their mind! I commend The Who (or would that be The Whom?).

  6. No but that last album earns them a good thumpin!

  7. NO.

I am half blind, and had lost my hearing for a short time.  I take no offense to the song.

  8. Oh yea...and while we're at it let's round up those who post such inane questions.

  9. that def dumb blind kid was the pinball wizard though, that's respectful, it builds him up and is only a story. IDK what happened to Bardot, but you're not allowed to threaten people, they do, even on TV, but that's when the audience agrees such as bomb bomb iran or something, . No one was suggesting you kill the pinball wizard nor have a holocaust on def dumb blind kids. That is the difference.
