  1. It doen't matter what happens.

If licences are granted to these two currently hypothetical teams then they will be given generous grants by the AFL. Brisbane & Sydney fared the same when they were formed.

Plus they will be looking at all well known players whose contracts may be up for renewal. It is a done deal that officials from the clubs would have access to all players managers & there would be behind-the-secene talks from day one.

Doesn't matter what is ethical or right - all fair in love & football.

  2. If the teams are going to be competitive then they will need some experienced players and these players can only come from established clubs. Hence the evident poaching of players.

  3. How could they compete if they don't have any players???????

Of course they have to poach players and it can't all be done in a couple of months before the season starts in 2010 or whenever it is. There is no other way to make a team up unless you offer the players a contract - the whole team can't be made up from a few draft picks.

How do you propose they do it other than planning in advance?

  4. yeah they will go after the teams players for sure,

  5. Yes. They should.

What I mean is - there are a couple of Eagles players I'd like to see picked up by another club in the competition!

  6. No they shouldn't but if a players contract is up when the new clubs start then dont be surprised to see players leaving as there would probably be more money and salary cap at the new clubs

  7. I dont think they should but the players they want are gonna be retirein by then anyway or not long after (They can take Cornes if the want i dont mind)

  8. No this is null and void this question, nothing has been signed, sealed or delivered yet, players are contracted for a start.

If brown goes any where it would only be back home to Victoria, cornes would never leave port, i think.

it would be against all laws of the AFL, if they even approached players at other clubs, and who would do the approaching, Joe blow from the gold coast and Spiro from west Sydney? come on.

A for effort though, at least you never mentioned SHIRLEY THOMAS again, it was becoming a pain for all on here i think. 'dibs' that can mean anything too. they can't do it, i hope they don't even get off the ground these two clubs, it's stupid and the money that is going to be lost to support these two clubs is obscene.
