  1. U.S has to ge in this.  Georgia helped U.s, U.S has to help Georgia

  2. Would you let a sushi chef babysit your pet fish?

  3. What do we have to convince anybody?  I don't think shooting the nukes would be a very good idea under any circumstances--to end all life on Earth over this?  No way.  Other than that, the Army is occupied, more than occupied actually, in Iraq and Afghanistan, the economy is shot.  We have no bargaining power and no moral authority, having lied our way into the Iraq Oil War.  Did you know that after Mr. Bush asked Premier Putin to knock off the attack, Putin increased it.  This is rubbing our nose in it.  We have become a paper tiger.  Thank the supreme ct., they put Bush in power.

  4. Who is the US to start making demands? They should stay out of it for once.

  5. The problem is that Russia had issued for some time for their to be NO USE OF FORCE in the region. However Georgia denied to the agreement (we now see why, they planned on invading Ossetia). The US has also been building up the Georgian military since 2002.

  6. h**l the entire world should demand it

Russian has gone way overboard in this war. Nothing can justify killing thousand of innocent life.

Two wrongs don't make a right. If the Russian's attitude goes uncheck, who knows what will they do next.

  7. if th US gets involved and pisses russia or georgia off, we're gonna be in another war

  8. If we had a strong leader, then he would be able to do something about the war. Unfortunately, Bush couldn't pursuade anybody to do anything right now. Putin is really taking advantage of Bush's impotence.

  9. I think Russia should demand that the US stay out of this conflict. Its obvious that it was Georgia's folly to instigate this crisis. Who in their right mind strikes at Russia and expects to be treated leniently. Georgia is defenseless, i don't know what they were thinking when they decided to go into the offensive. Maybe they thought Putin would be in a good mood because of the olympics...lol!

  10. Sure, we should, as concerned world citizens it is in our best interest to demand peace.  The real question is, what should we do if they thumb their noses at us.  The answer is nothing.

  11. ummm bush already did

  12. If we do, what will the or else be? We're not going to fire on Russian troops. We don't have any leverage here.

  13. As a member of the UN, the US already has.

Since Russia has veto power in the UN, it means nothing.

  14. No, Putin and Ray Charles had one thing in common:

They both had Georgia on their mind!

  15. No, it'll send a wrong message to Russia and Georgia because it'll look like the US needs to be in every single thing in the world. We can't afford it and its their problem.

Remember the Roosevelt Doctrine? It said that the US should 'police' the Latin Americas. Pfff!! Whatever.

The lesson is that we should mind our business and not look like stuck-up, 'superior', political leaders. Like I said, it'll send a wrong message and other nations might turn on us! Our world needs peace but not this way.

I might sound a bit harsh to people who want the conflict to end, but we can't step into every single puddle of trouble and get wet with it. If you know what I mean.

I also cannot BELIEVE Georgia and Russia started this during the Olympics. The Olympics are a way for the world to set aside their differences and problems and have fun and peace for a few short weeks.
