Practically everytime my right wrist (and left when bumping) makes contact with the ball, i feel a bad pain in my wrists. The only time i dont feel pain is when i set, because im not using my wrist. Is it the ball? or is it supposed to do that when you first start out?

  1. since you just started out, your working new muscles in your wrists, and they're not used to the new feeling. so yeahh i guess you might feel a bit of pain, but it will go away if you keep on playing!

  2. it should only hurt if u r just stating volleyball

  3. In the beginning it takes time for it to stop hurting. It's irritated because the skin is not used to that type of feeling. It will pass soon even though now it may even be up to the point where it is red and in pain for several minutes after making contact with the ball. I'd just ice it or take tylenol, don't worry; you have no fatal illness against VB ;)

  4. yes, you'll feel less pain when you start playing volleyball more.

  5. when you first start out it should because i just started and im havin the same trouble

  6. If you are just starting out playing volleyball, your wrists will be red and they will hurt for a while, but once your wrists get used to bumping the volleyball, then you should be fine.

  7. That will happen to pretty much everyone when they first start playing vball. Don't worry-in time your wrists will get used to it. Just keep practicing and even though it hurts now, you won't even think about it in a few weeks.

  8. If your just starting out there will be a little pain in your wrist while passing..after awhile it should be fine :)

  9. if you are just staring it is fine, your arms will get red from bumping the ball also...

it is also possible that you are bumping the ball to close to your hands, when bumping, i was taught to make contact with the ball approx. in the middle of your forearm...

    have fun playing!!
