George Bush can't lead now, Angela Merkle has already made a decision. Germany will not attend the Olymics. Why can't the IOC cancel these games?

It is short notice but with the use of the Internet and satellites the swimming events could be held one place in the world and the track and field events someplace else.

  1. The world needs to boycott the Chinese Olympic games this summer because of the Chinese atrocities going on now in Tibet.  But I doubt that many world leaders will have the guts to follow Germany's example.

George Bush is a complete wuss if he doesn't.  Even Jimmy Carter had the bollocks to boycott the 1980 Soviet Olympic games because of their invasion of Afghanistan in the late 70s.

  2. Your information is wrong. Only the chancelor and the president of germany won't  attend the opening ceremonies.

Merkel said, that she never intended to do though.

The national olympic commity is against a boycott and will send their athlets.

  3. Yes, we should boycott. To send them a message like we did to the Russians in 1980.

The Chinese are famous for stifling freedoms.
