Do you have a soulution to bring jobs back to the USA. I think the Government sould rebuild steel mills in the usa. Nuclear power plans do not sound like a good idea. The answer to helping this country is to put people back to work on real jobs with a real pay check not just gas money to get to work and home

  1. No, there should be huge tax increases for those that don't.  They have had their tax cuts and moved jobs out of the country.

  2. American Gov. needs to make America strong, and needs to keep America competetive.  Our laborers cannot compete with the wages that people make in other countries- our environmental regulations don't allow companies to pollute as bad as other places, or safety standards do not allow businesses to be cheap and lazy with safety, our workplace healthcare add on huge costs that business do not pay in third world countires.  A business can cut a lot more corners, exploit a lot more people and ultimately save a lot more money by 'outsourcing' to other countries.

In short, the things that make working in America great are what's causing business to be outsourced.  We need to find a better balance and incentive to keep jobs in America, becuase if there aren't we're all screwed.  Tax incentives could be one of the solutions.  [Of course, instead, we could get rid of minimum wage, start employing our children and get rid of safety and environmental regulations(sounds good right!?)]

"Outsourcing is good for the country" -President Bush.  Thanks Bush...thanks a lot.

  3. yes, and we should tax the living daylights out of "US" products manufactured overseas

  4. That would fall under the times of the Great Depression, when the women worked with the sewing trade or any time that required that the women would not be at home with the child ? The sociology was begin to happen in the home when women would ""explain''' anything that the kids or the man of the home would have a question for....

In the  time of the era, women had one action or one reproduction of seniority  that she was to get paid ed for, the reply of what was earned went to the ''billing ''' and the actual spending of who was able to get, receive and possibly then enjoy the memory of the event.

  5. No.

The last thing the world (and indeed the US) needs is more subsidised industries.

If there are products that can be produced cheaper overseas they should be produced there. This lowers the end-cost of these items which allows the amount you earn to go further at the end of the day.

"Protecting american jobs" just results in inefficiently produced items. That is stuff is made for more than it could be and is therefore more expensive. That means that the amount you earn each week doesn't go as far (because the stuff you buy costs more)

  6. Absolutely. Let's start using tax cuts to reward the companies that most benefit our country, instead of rewarding those that have the strongest PAC's and lobbyists.

No, it's not likely to happen fast or easily. But NO progress will be made unless we get people into government who will at least try.

  7. From Sheldon - "Protecting american jobs" just results in inefficiently produced items. That is stuff is made for more than it could be and is therefore more expensive. That means that the amount you earn each week doesn't go as far (because the stuff you buy costs more)".

Sheldon, do you actually have a job and live on your own or are you a pimple-faced 15 year-old still living with mommy and daddy who works at 7-11? Did you ever have a job that was eliminated because of outsourcing or your factory has been shut down and moved to Crapistan because there is slave labor in Crapistan and the people are forced to work 12 hours a day, six days a week for virtually nothing? Are you really that stupid? I would say yes based on your grammar.

Since when does the cost of production pertain to production efficiency? Did you ever try getting a product made in China? It is not always a very efficiant process. So stop displaying your ignornace.

Yes, you might have to pay a little more for a domestic product, but how could you say the quality is better coming from a third-world country? Document the QC being performed in countries like Red China. We have imported tainted products that can kill.

I am willing to pay more for a product made in the U.S. because the quality of the product will most likely be superior and it will help keep another American working.

Companies should pay an additional tax for the exporting of any type of jobs. H1 visas should be eliminated as well. The American worker must be protected. The American worker is you and me and we must protect our own.
