Should there be a penalty tax for couple who have too many babies in the US ?

I think it's irresponsible for people to have more children than they can take care of.

If you think that the government should limit family sizes, feel free to move to China where they do exactly that.  The poor get hammered while the new middle and upper classes pay the tax easily.

Absolutely not God says to be fruitful, multiply and replenish the earth why penalize people who have children.

How many children can a couple take care of?

And what, exactly, does 'take care of' mean?

If they can't take care of their children, how will taxing them more help them take care of their kids?

I could ask a dozen more questions that illustrate the weaknesses of the question, but I think you see where this is headed.
