do you think we need such strict regulations over gaming? If not, how lax should they be? Or should we have them at all?

  1. The answer is  a big and bold NO.  Regulations on gambling places like real casinos are ment to control the profits, in fact, the part of the profits the government is puting in their pokets while you play.

So, what´s happening with online gambling, and why there´s an US Gambling Act?... Some 3rd world countries gave away lots of gambling licenses for online casinos arround the www, and, despite of how seriously they control the fair-play (randomness of the games), they were making the US Gambling Tax Profits went to those countries instead of the US. In my opinion it´s just that.

In fact, it´s almost unconstitutional what they are doing. You can read about it here http://us.gamblingmethod.com/us_gambling...

Some others think that this is to protect gamblers, to keep them playing in casinos regulated by the US Gov, while talking about online gambling the fairness of it all depends on the software an online casino is using (most of them Canadian or American).

Behside that, gambling is not a game, so, it´s important that who likes to gable knows the risks of it. But that, government speaking, is part of the "education" budget. But, no government wants an educated society... unfortunately that´s the way they can rule over us (in no matter what subject).
