In the greater metro area of my town I noticed all the signs encouraging youths to test for VDs are in spanish. As an American are these signs directed at my demographic? I speak the English.

  1. Perhaps...and I'm just reaching here....the illegals that cross the border are bringing diseases into the country and the gov't is trying to get them in( to see doctors ) to prevent the spread to those who live here, speak the language, and already know about such diseases.

  2. maybe its so when they go home for a visit, and they do, they dont take STDs home to mamacita

  3. No darling not just Hispanics but most persons in the U.S. who know how to read and go to hospitals, clinics and others also need to know these things but because nearly everywhere has become hispanic in nature the signs feel like they are targeting only Hispanics.

  4. yes

  5. There needs to be more signs in English...PERIOD!     Why should we have any signs in any other language?    THIS IS AMERICA (at least for now it is)  !!

  6. Maybe those signs are meant to be directed at a slightly different group. Most learn about safer s*x and that sort of thing in school, but there is a large population of people not in school. Perhaps the signs are directed at those young non-English speakers who must work full time and are not able to go to school, or who do not go for other reasons.

  7. LMAO...  Is Obama their poster child?  Oh wait, he doesnt know spanish either!  Yes, I think there are a lot of people needing that test~!.  And maybe we should put up and follow through with.... English testing sign in spanish, for mandatory English language tests...

  8. No. What does this have to do with immigration?
