Should there be olympic medals for commentating? the rowing commentator deserves gold?

  1. How about the Aussie boxing commentator with remarks such as,

    "More combinations than a Chinese menu".

    "He's got more points than a compass".

    Etc, etc.


  2. Is that the BBC one who was telling people to shout at their television sets to encourage the rowers? He got a bit carried away.

  3. The BBC commentator is Garry Herbert who himself has an Olympic gold medal from his role as a cox!  His classic commentaries are those involving Pinsent and Redgrave - probably worth checking out on youtube!
