Should there be self-defense test centres, where students can get tested against 50 most common attacks?

so often students learn self defense for years from instructors and get false confidences thinking they are skilled enough to handle the tasks, and later found out that when their lives depend on it, the skills, techniques is not there or not working at all for whatever reasons. At least people can find out their skill level, and know what they need to work on, whether they may be speed, skill, techniques, or others. Like learning to fly an airplane, you want to know your skill level, whether you pass or not. Otherwise, the first time you fly it and you would end up getting kill. The 50 most common street attacks would be from an average thug/Joe's speed and not Bruce Lee's and not by a martial artist where he can make minor adjustment to counter your defense. There may be different levels, where the attacks will be perform at a greater speed or strength. Sure, it is still not real, mental pressure is not to the max, but at least you know whether you can perform your techniques..

difficult question. who would run,teach,validate these centres.do we breed a group of superthugs.95% of self defence is phychological,dont go into the danger area,listen to the small voice that says avoid rather than confront,run away,talk them down.ultimately there wouldn,t be 50 techniques, i have never needed 50 or even 5 ,think,pre-empt,avoid,defuse.good luck
