Should these women have gone to jail?

They should, but unfortunately our society is more 'generous' toward women who commits crimes then men. You can clearly see this within our (in)justice system where female criminals are being punished far less severely than male one.

If men do the exact same thing you can bet that they'll be treat like violent criminals who should be locked away.

I agree with the views that they were treated far more leniently than men would have been in the same situation.  Men would automatically been labelled as terrorists and charged with much greater crimes and certainly jailed.

Yeah anyone who does trash like that should be in jail.

They probably weren't because they were not in their native country. Had the the plane landed in their country of origin, they probably would have been arrested.

they are dealing with an issue of international affairs.....as many as three different countries.

They are in custody.....more a matter of WHO charges them.  International stuff can be tricky.
