  1. No, they should do away with ALL fights.

  2. i dont think they should bring back 15 rounds.12 rounds is long enough and they spend enought ime training for a 12 round fight that i think there would be some safety issues if they were to brig back 15.and like some one already said you probly dont box, because outside of the ring you feel like the rounds are really short but in the ring 3 minutes can feel like an eternity.

  3. no b/c 12 rounds is enough to decide a clear winner. they need to get rid of bad judges though

  4. First of all i disagree with the rest of the people who have answered this question so far.

Remember the Thrilla in Manilla, the first Ali vs Frazier fight when Frazier knocked Ali down in the 15th or Marciano coming back and knocking Walcott out in the 13th round or Pryor roaring back in the 14th to knock out Arguello? All of these were classic fights and would not be considered classics today if they had only been 12 rounds. That's why they used to call rounds 12-15 the championship rounds.

I think it would be a good thing for boxing if Championship fights were extended. Extending the distance would add a certain amount of legitimacy to the title and actually add to the creditability of the sport.

  5. Thumbs up James!

I thought I was going to be alone on the other side of this question. The Thrilla in Manilla wouldn't be the same without the last 3 rounds. Leonard vs Hearns was decided in the last 3 rounds. There were countless others.

I always considered the last 3 rounds the championship rounds. It's where champions set them self apart from the rest of the pack!

  6. I dont think it is nessecarily because there would most likely be a knockout before 15 rounds were over and it takes a lot of endurance to fight that many rounds so few people can do that. Besides boxing is a sport to see who is a better fighter so it is good to win a match in the first few rounds if possible. In fact that was why Mike Tyson was so good because he would knock people out in the second or third round most of the time.

  7. ASK RAY BOOM BOOM MANCINI... or his dead opponent duc. this question must be asked someone who doesn't box obviously... 3 minutes is a hellava lond time.. especially if you are catching and not pitching if you know what i mean..

  8. no
