windsor is not large enough,  its more of a suburb of detroit if you think about it

Windsor is a great city, and as a Detroit native, I would not be bothered if the name was the Detroit-Windsor Red Wings, given the support of our neighbors and greats like Marcel Pronovost who played his junior at Windsor before becoming an all time great Red Wing.
