Question:

Should they flaten "The Mountain"?

After Leon Camiers nasty crash at Cadwell Park yesterday, they interviewd James Toseland who was a guest at the circuit.

He said he thought it was time they thought about flattening out the mountain, as it was a bit too much for todays 220+ Bhp superbikes to handle.

What do you think?

  1. NO. The riders should ride to the capabilities of the bike and circuit. All  factors should be taken into account when racing. To take this idea to its extreme, we would end up with straight line racing because bends would be 'too dangerous'..

  2. nah they should just not race there anymore the bikes are too big too fast for a track like this christ its only 12 feet wide

  3. Absolutely NOT

The featue is like any other : a bend  a hair pin etc .

The riders have to take other features with care , and if that means slowing down then they slow down .

It is the same with this raised part of the course RIDERS should take it appropriately EVERY one knows it is there  ( for 70 years !!!)

  4. No it's like the other respondants have said that the track should be ridden according to the conditions. The riders will however push these limitations to the limit. It was an unfortunate accident but Leon was pushing hard and it did not go his way.

If we go down this route the Isle of Mann TT will be  a thing of the past and not long after so will motorcycle racing.

  5. I do agree with the other posters regarding  riding the bike and the circuit to its limits, but I do also think The Mountain should be "smoothed" out a bit.

Yes I know it is very entertaining to watch (and to ride, I have done many track days there) but it is starting to get a little mad now. Leon and then Shakey, in one race! Not good.
