  1. NO! the entire reason the drinking age is 21 is because of the brain development!  the human brain is not fully developed untill the age of 21 and that is the reason for the law, not to just make 18 year olds mad at the fact that they cant drink!  Also at the age of 18 a person is not responsible enough to judge weather or not they should get behind the wheel!  an 18 year old has not had much experiance driving and to add alcohol to the mix could prove deadly!

  2. NO

  3. Sure. Why not? They drink now if they want to. In basements, and out in the woods, and down at the beach. 18 years olds can vote, serve in combat, get married and have kids, sign contracts, work, buy cars, and live on their own. Why shouldn't they be able to drink like any other adult?

America is to full of nosy busy bodies who can't just mind their own darn business.

  4. I personally don't feel that the legal drinking age should be lowered.  That said, I know that there are plenty of teens that drink illegally.  I'm not sure just how effective the law is, but for me, even if it gives some kids pause to think, then it is worth having.

If you get a little age and maturity on board, maybe you will decide NOT to drink at all.

P.S.  One out of five people that start drinking socially become alcoholics.  I have quite a few of these in my family and you cannot imagine the pain, lost jobs, alienated spouses, screwed up kids they have caused.  Sorry about the rant...

  5. No because we don't want more teens dying while driving under the influence.

  6. What are you asking?  Should the alcohol drinking age be lowered to 18?  If that's you're saying that then yes, it should be.  However you should look into spell check.

  7. If you can go to war and kill people and be killed, why not drink? 18 years is the age where you are your own person. Why not make your own decisions?

  8. It seems fair to me.  You're legally an adult.  IMHO a 21-year old is just as stupid as someone 3 years younger.

It was 18 when I was 18 and I lived through it.  So did many of my peers.

  9. if an 18 year is considered an adult they should get the same responsibilities of an adult and not be treated like a child

  10. what good would that do anyone?

  11. Yes, I think the drinking age should be 18. No reason for 21, kids drink under 21 all the time. If I must support myself, I should be able to drink, after all I can vote and that can change history

  12. Alcohol is a narcotic and as such ought to be classed accordingly with other narcotics like heroine , cocaine, etc.

  13. nope unless theyre in the military.. kids are dumb these days

  14. This is a tough one. If they can be placed in the front lines during war-time, shouldn't they have the right to drink.

I am against drinking period, but you can't ask a young man to be a full grown man at war-time and place an M-16 in his hands and tell him to kill the enemy, and deny them the right to drink. That's double jeopardy. Then I guess they can drink...

  15. Well it depends. If they're responsible and they won't drunk drive, and get too drunk. It's ok. But not if they're not responsible

  16. Yes I think they should. I'm French and the drinking age there is 18... I think 21 is waaay to much, my opinion is that this whole paranoia about drinking makes people want to drink more...

  17. why not, if they are old enough to die for their country, they might as well let them enjoy a few drinks before he dies.

  18. in England being 18 and buying alcohol is already legal.

  19. No.

  20. no , when i went to high school the age was 18 now i work in a college, and it is not a good idea.

  21. No, that would probably be a bad idea.  There would be way more DUI's and accidents caused by drunk drivers

  22. Yes they should make it 15 :D

  23. No-it shouldn't be lowered.  Today's 18 year olds simply aren't mature enough-their too impulsive and their judgment is undeveloped, so they wind up doing ignorant things.  There's more ways of effing up being drunk than driving: unwanted pregnancy, domestic violence, violence in public, etc.)

There's no way you can realistically compare serving and fighting for one's country-the most noble sacrifice a person can make-with being intoxicated.

  24. no and i think a lot of the reason is becuz of kids in high school and collage under 21 because kids are getting killed when they get really drunk and wrap cars around trees or telephone polls and getting killed.

  25. Yes.  It is bizarre that 18-year olds are considered competent to be adults in every respect -- except to buy a drink.

  26. it should be 18 because you're an adult, but that would never happen because then it's in the high school system so it should be 19

  27. If you are old enough to fight for your country, you should be old enough to buy a beer.

  28. yeah, its legal in other countries.

  29. yes.the 21 year old drinking age is g*y.if kids want to drink they're going to drink.h**l my best drinking years were from 14 to 21.dry counties are stupid too.if people want alcohol they're going to get it no sense in giving up that tax revenue to another county.
