Should this be aloud?

At first recess, (10:30) a teacher took my hat for wearing on my way out the doors, I gave it over, then she told me I could have it back at the end of of the day (3:20). When I began to leave, I saw two other boys wearing hats on the way out of school. They walk straight past the same teacher that took my hat, and she didn't nothing. When I asked her why she did not take their hats, she said that there hats were "toque-hats" and mine was a ball-cap. I thought that this was extremely peculiar. Do you think that she should be able to do this?

  1. I don't see what difference the style of hat makes if you are only wearing it outside, unless it is for religious purposes.  Perhaps you should get your parents to complain to the school about the unequal treatment.

However, please don't take it up yourself as it wont help matters.

  2. Well it depends on your school policy.  They may be trying to discourage clothing that looks like gang wear.  Which is kind of ridiculous, because it's not what people wear, but how they act.  But still the decision may not have been hers on a personal level, it may be school policy.  Remember teachers have a whole lot of other people over them dictating to them that you are not even aware of.
