  1. Me and my mates used to shine laser pens in our eyes for a laugh when we was kids and it never blinded any of us. My mate shot me in the eye with a BB gun as well (he weren't aiming for it), but that made it go all blurry for about a week and then it went back normal. Hurt a bit as well.

  2. The chances of blinding a pilot are slim to NONE.They said all this years ago but with ambulances.TOTAL RUBBISH!!

  3. I think this is a bit of an over reaction by the police...I can't see that a laser the size of a pen is going to be powerful enough to cause temporary blindness...

  4. i thought these pens were made illegal ages ago

chances of aiming the beam and it hitting the pilot directly in the eye have got to be close to zero surely,no matter how determined the crim

and how many crim read the net ?

  5. Yes it should of, it highlights a danger, just akin to looking into the sun, its dangerous and needs to be stamped out immediately.

  6. This isn't the first case, one or two people have been convicted for doing the same thing to aircraft pilots.  It is unfortunately an obvious use for laser pens, we're just lucky more people don't flash them at car drivers.

  7. I agree with you Articles like this just put more daft ideas into the heads of yobs and crims
