Einstein had said that time is the 4th dimension. But i personally feel that time should be given preference because in actual n practical life, i see many people around me and me, myself feel that time factor plays a much more important role than the pre-existing 3 dimensions. have your say.

  1. It really isn't important, usually we say it is the 4th, there is and x (1st), y (2nd), and z (3rd), then time (4th). As long as you have 3 space and 1 time dimensions, it is right.

  2. 4th dimension.  The first three are related (x-y-z planes) and so should be the first three dimensions.  Plus, in physics, you always learn about the x-y-z plane before you add time to the equation.  Ask any physicist.  Time complicates things.

  3. order doesn't imply preference or importance in Einstein's model.  The dimensions simply are.  Is length more important than width?

  4. I should say that it is the 4th. And I think the numbers represent on how when the dimensions was discovered, not on a scientific basis.

  5. 4th.. thats my say

  6. The order has no importance.

These are all abstract concepts, there is no order to it!
