Should troops be allowed to keep stuff they pick up in iraq

lets say ur a marine in iraq, u pick up a AK47 from a dead insurgent. are u allowed to take it home as a trophy? if not, do u think the govermint should change its policy?

    I don't care who has gotten away with it,

    its  still misappropriation of property.

    That is stealing, looting (etc....)

    One of the things that made points with the civilian population of China

    when the revoulution was in progress, the troops where instructed to  NOT TAKE ANYTHING!

    War is as much about winning the hearts and minds

    as anything else and the present way that the Bush administration is running this scene is  counterproductive!

  5. You cant keep "war trophies" anymore.  Plus carrying that on a plane mught be difficult nowadays
