  1. I'm going to.  My doctor said it was okay.  I just don't want to have to deal with all the mess down there during and after the birth.  I usually shave, but it's getting increasingly difficult, and it's just more convenient to wax.

  2. no i could barely see to ahve down there. doctors seriosuly don't care what you look like down there. there are many mothers who don't shave at all. in fact, most pregnant women can't shave because their bely is on their way

  3. That is completely up to you. That maybe the very LAST thought on your mind the day of :)

starting 3 weeks before your due date keep yourself pampered. Hair nails toes and any other area you want taken care of.

  4. That area does not need to be shave or waxed by you or any other medical personelle.  Imagine all the itching while you are trying to care for you new baby.  Just one more hassle you don't need.  You skin is more sensitive when you are pregnant and so waxing would be more painful than usual.

  5. It's not going to be the first iem that thew will deliver a baby so it's not the first time they'll see hair down there... if that's the reason... they're used to it... if it's the first time u'r gonna wax down there don't do it only for that reason... now if it's more of a personal reason than do it if u want...

  6. I shave in that general area, but when it came time for me to be induced I couldn't even see it let alone try to shave it. Once your in labour you don't care what you look like and doctors have seen it all.

  7. It's up to you.  If you normally wax and would like to be waxed go for it.  If you don't normally wax, why bother?!

The doctors and nurses really don't care about your grooming habits, it's getting the baby safely out that matters!

    Good luck!

  8. Not necessary at all..

These days I don't think they even shave you anymore at all - that was an ole school germaphobic thing which was ruled out at useless. In fact shaving (or waxing I suppose) can open up the skin and actually cause more problems.

I didn't. Trimmed a bit sure but wax?? no way.

  9. Errr. thats a woman's choice. Its not mandatory to do it

  10. It's completely personal preference.  You can if you want.  But it might hurt a bit more since you have a lot more blood engorgement in that area.

  11. not neccessary it won't make the doctors job easier or harder either

way and why be uncomfy when you don't have to be...your call!

    It isn't harmful in anyway

  12. Before I was pregnant, I got waxxed once a month. But now my skin is soooo sensitive that the last time i got waxxed it hurt so bad. I had to make them stop. And if you have never done it before i would definately not do it while you are pregnant. Everyone is different but depending on how your hormones are it could leave bruising. I would not advise this! I can't really see to shave down there because now I'm too big...lol....but if my boyfriend isn't there to do it, then I just "trim" in the mirror!  Good luck. Especially if you do decide to wax!

  13. Back in the day shaving a woman's pubic hair was done to prevent bacteria from harming the child or uterus, something like that.  Now, they apply an antiseptic to that area to prevent bacteria from harming the child.  I actually read this somewhere.

So no, It is not necessary to wax before having the baby.  It's your choice.

  14. Only if you want to.

The only time you have to is if you have a C-section. Then you need to shave or wax right down below your bikini line (or they'll do it for you) so it is easier for them to sterilise the area around the incision.

  15. Ummmm.... if  you routinely wax anyway, I can't imagine that it would be a problem to do it in late pregnancy.

But if you don't usually wax/shave there is no reason to do it just for this reason. Doctors/midwives aren't bothered by hair 'down there.'

  16. umm if its in the way they shave you :(
