  1. Not Really its mostly Microsoft that are attracted to theses things but get one just incase

    Its an on demand scanner that won't take resources unless your scanning and its free.

  4. you need virus protection to make sure don't get a virus, the reason macs don't usually get virus's is that the majority of people use pc's instead of mac's so virus makers make virus's to target a wider audience so there are more viruses made for pc but that doesn't mean you shouldn't get virus protection. AVG is a good free virus protection programme

  5. All operating systems are open to virus attack.  The idea that a MAC "cant" get a virus is an old wives tale.  They have always been vulnerable.  You need both anti virus and anti spyware software.
