  1. Women do not have d*cks, ergo, having urinals for women is nonsensical. Your claim of "blatant discrimination" is ridiculous and totally inapposite.

If you have to go badly, go to the men's room and use a urinal.

  2. Why not have communal bathrooms for men and women?  That way you don't have to spend so much money on two rooms.  I think a lot of guys would agree with that.

  3. This is a ridiculous question.  Would you suggest that all the men have separate shower stalls at the gym (a privilege that's usually saved for women because we don't like to undress in front of strangers) in stead of shower rooms?  Why should men be punished just because they don't have the same hang ups about their bodies?

I'd also like to note that I've never run into men who were nasty about sharing.  I have on more than one occasion been trapped in that line up situation and tapped on the mens room door and said, "Gentlemen, may I please use one of your stalls if there's one free?  We're lined up in the ladies room and I have a bit of an emergency."  And I have never once been refused entry and I would be willing to bet that women would not be so kind.

  4. no.  these devices are convenient, hygienic, and save water vs. a regular sit-down loo.  it makes sense to have a roughly equal number of 'facilities' for men and women in public buildings, but it also makes sense to minimize the amount of resources (think time and water) needed for each visit.

besides, if they eliminated urinals, where would we find those free breath mints? :)

  5. I personally wouldn't want to use a urinal, it seems kind of g*y to go to the loo with other people...But anyway I think it's women that have the privellege, sitting down you can use your mobile phone, do two things at once.

  6. You have the same rights as men so build some for you to and stop nagging like a Ford starter. cluk cluk cluk cluk..

  7. they could put urinals in women's public toilets

they have them in some other countries and at festivals :-) i think women should be encouraged to be less embarrassed about peeing in front of other women

    edit

most women wouldn't be able to use male urinals without the use of a she pee. holes in the ground are easy though, unless a woman has a problem with her legs that means she can't squat easily

  8. In the States this is being rectified.  Most public bathrooms now are much larger for the women.

The urinals take up less room than the stalls, so more can be put in.  I personally do not know a single male that wouldn't pee in public (like an alleyway) if the lines were too long.  Best to keep the urinals for the men.

However I also firmly believe womens bathrooms should be BIGGER than the mens (new construction, I'm not stating going and re-doing old bathrooms).  Women often have the children with them, and often a stroller.

Since we do not have the convience of "outdoor plumbing" we have to always get half undressed, and sit down.  By the time we find a place to wedge our purse (that's not too gross), or hold it in our teeth,  check the seat to make sure it's disgusting (the seat liners are always all gone!), and take down our pants, or hike up our skirt, sit down, do our thing, and then tuck our shirt into our pants, or make sure our skirt isn't caught up in the back in some embarrASSing way, and .....well for heavens sakes, 10 men can pee in the time it takes one woman.

  9. What game are you trying to play?  I see that you're hoping someone will see your idea of a big picture here but your presentation leaves something to be desired.  I can't help but get a feeling that you're a man posing as a women in hopes to attack feminism.  Anyways; as a fact very rarely would you find that there are three toilets in the ladies room and twenty urinals in the men's room.  How do you know how many toilets vs. urinals there are?

  10. When I can pee standing up then Ill be concerned about this other than that I dont care.

Theres other things to worry about.

  11. I think in the spirt of wasteful government spending they should replace one of the three toilets in the woman's room with 2 urinals

That way woman can have urinals too and it won't be a special privelege for men

Edit- I get the point of your posts- there are natural differences between the sexes that don't need to be reconciled through social controls, but its more fun to answer silly questions with silly answers

  12. Uh.... no.

  13. For Men the whole World is a urinal. What I mean by that is our plumbing does not require nor need your Approval. Urinals only increase the convenience of public Restrooms. Your PC Nonsense does not mean anything. It only shows your bigotry toward Men. Congratulations on your revealing yourself as a Bigot. Many Public venues are doubling the number of stalls for Women's bathrooms to accommodate their needs.

  14. I really wouldn't worry about it too much if I were you.  Where there is more than 1 urinal, if one is being used, most guys won't go to the empty one.  I guess they're afraid that the guy already doing his business is going to point and laugh or something,

So he would rather be a rude inconsiderate filth spreading moron and pee in a toilet so that it splatters everywhere and the poor shlub using it afterwards has to clean it before using it.

  15. No. Here's why:

The urinal is a convenient fixture for men, but there does not exist a more convenient fixture for women that is not ALREADY in the bathrooms.

If toilets were being ripped out of unisex and ladies bathrooms to make room for urinals, it would be different.

But the number of toilets available in the ladies room is a failing of the architect and of local public health laws- not of the average joe using a urinal.

  16. There are no urinals in public conveniences.  There may be urinals in public men's restrooms, but why wouldn't there be?  The key word in your question, I'm guessing, is "conveniences," which would be buses, trains, etc.

Some European cities have unisex toilet kiosks on the street.  They're supposed to be self-cleaning, but I wouldn't use one.  Eww.

  17. Sounds like someone has urinal envy

  18. To finally reach true bathroom equality, we must have an equal number of stalls and urinals in both bathrooms and add sanitary napkin disposal bins and dispensers in the men's.  Then, and only then, would there be equality.

But how do you propose to get women to actually use the urinals so the others can get in?

  19. No but it is high time each urinal has its' own room because sometimes the men's sign is not there.

  20. That is absurd. Saying we should abolish urinals because women can't use them is like saying we should abolish tampons because men can't use them. The point of feminism is to bring upon equality by bringing women up, not bringing women down. Men will always be able to pee standing up. Women will never have this privilege, unless they use special devices. This is simple biology.

  21. Don't you have anything better to do than worry about what is in a men's bathroom. You are pitiful.

  22. Petty.   That's all I can say.

  23. Twenty urinals in the same bathroom?  The only places I've ever seen that many are sports arenas and stadiums.  Convenience stores often only have 1 or 2, almost never more than 3.  It should also be pointed out that men's bathrooms don't usually have as many toilets as women's because urinals take up some of that space (I had to go in a few times when I worked at a grocery store to help clean).

Anyway, if women want to have "equality" here, find a way to change it by bringing women up to men's standards, not vice versa.

  24. Blatant discrimination against whom I wonder? Seems to me it could be both and would have to depend entirely on your perspective if you totally ignore the biological basis in differences between men and women. So is there a name for a type of discrimination that ignores a man or a woman's biological difference? Most of these questions in this section seem to ignore the biological differences between the sexes, imo.

You have been asking a lot of questions in Gender & Women's Studies LOL!*!*, is this because they are poor unsuspecting victims? Yur posters have some very interesting views here Bella!

  25. No we shouldn't abolish urinals because it would inconvenience men.

To restores the 'gender equality' status quo simply install urinals in women's toilets.

    That's fair, innit?

  26. Why not just improve the situation and add more urinals for women. Why punish the men that have nothing to do with it?

  27. really??your mad over some urinals.....its not discrimination..its conveinient to use urinals for men..im sure its alot cheaper to put 10 urinals that dont need walls around them than toilets......everything cannot be equal, just cuz one get a little more than the other dosent mean its discrimination

  28. You shouldn't abolish urinals because it takes less time to urinate with urinals instead of stalls. Your just jealous.

  29. There are people dying in the world, children being raped, old women being beat up for money on the street and your worried about urinals. Please put your time and energy into something worth while. Men take a shorter amount of time in bathrooms they just do, plus they don't mind peeing in front of other people. So what. Oh whaa I need to wait a few minutes to use the bathroom. Boo hoo. Its people like you that make me ashamed that I have a uterus. Please stop for that sake of all women you are making us look bad.

  30. I don't care. I'll just pee outside.

  31. It is a good point but I don't see that it is necessary. Usually in the mens room there may be numerous urinals as well as a few toilets in stalls. I really think it is more of a design/space issue than anything else. Think about the size of a urinal vs. the size of a stall. Clearly there is room for multiple urinals. I don't have a problem with them having more urinals than we do stalls/toilets. When I have to wait for women (who typically take much longer than men to use the facility) My husband will ask the men if they mind if I use one of the stalls. The answer has ALWAYS been, "tell her it's cool" I have even had several tell me that it was kinda cool that I am not so uptight as to feel the need to only use the womens room. The lines wouldn't be so long in the womens room if they would hurry in, complete their business and get out. Instead most women have to obsess over their appearance so much that they create long lines of other women waiting to use the restroom.

The bottom line is this: men take less time in the restroom, they should be rewarded with more urinals!
